LAND SHAPES: Urban
(Various dimensions, 10–160 cm)

Extracting the essence of nature and structure through abstraction and reduction. Traditional motifs dissolve into signs, patterns, and negative space—executed across diverse media, from graphite and charcoal to oil and acrylic.

Dresden 2015

LAND SHAPES: Empirical Studies
Various dimensions (10 – 160 cm)

A series exploring the intersection of direct nature study, spatial observation, and formal abstraction. Grounded in local topographies—from the riverbanks of the Elbe around Dresden to urban structures and socio-cultural artifacts—traditional motifs are reduced to signs, patterns, and negative space.

Executed across diverse media, from charcoal and graphite to oil and acrylic, the works navigate between environmental reality, regional identity, and constructive image logic.
